Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario
Type: Co-op Position | 40 Hours/Week
Q Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Technician Co-op to join our Architecture & Design team.
In this role, you will collaborate with architects, designers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the planning, design, and execution of a wide range of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
This opportunity is ideal for students looking to gain real-world experience, strengthen technical skills, and contribute to meaningful projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with architects and project team members within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Assist with project execution during all phases, including schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Support architectural design and contract administration activities for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
- Participate in site visits and prepare observation reports.
- Prepare drawings, renderings, and presentations using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Adobe Suite.
- Assist in preparing proposals, specifications, budget estimates, and other project documentation.
- Contribute to coordination tasks and administrative work to ensure timely project delivery.
- Currently enrolled in an Architectural Technology or Architecture program at an accredited institution.
- Basic understanding of building construction methods, materials, and codes.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural design software is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Exposure to diverse, real-world architectural projects across multiple sectors.
