Medical Surgical Registered Practical Nurse

Apply medical-surgical nursing expertise as a full-time Registered Practical Nurse at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Coordinate complex patient assignments across day and night shifts.

Working in 3E Medical/Surgical/Intensive Care, you will provide acute care for diverse patient needs. The position requires nursing best practices, medication delivery, IV therapy, and blood glucose monitoring. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary partners while guiding patients and families through their hospital experience.

• Coordinate, organize, and prioritize multiple patient assignments
• Provide excellent care for diverse patient needs
• Advocate for patient treatment and guide families
• Deliver medications in an acute care setting
• Build rapport with internal and external stakeholders

• Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
• Current BLS certification with annual recertification
• IV Therapy certification with ongoing demonstrated competence
• Blood Glucose Monitoring certification and annual recertification
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and reliable attendance
