This position is based in the Open Text office in Richmond Hill, Canada.

• Define the Architectural Vision:
  Craft and champion the long‑term architectural strategy and technical roadmap for the Open Text Cloud Platform.
• Design for Scale:
  Lead the design of large‑scale, distributed systems and establish foundational patterns for microservices, event‑driven architecture and data‑intensive applications.
• Drive Technical Excellence:
  Partner with senior engineering leaders and product managers to translate business objectives into robust technical solutions.
• Mentor and Inspire:
  Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor to senior engineers and technical leads.
• Champion Innovation:
  Evaluate and integrate cutting‑edge technologies and trends.
• Lead Cross‑Organizational Alignment:
  Influence and align technical decisions across global, distributed teams.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in software development and architecture, with extensive experience designing and delivering large‑scale, distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• Experience in cloud computing architecture, designing cloud‑native applications using AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Hands‑on expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) and understanding of service mesh, API gateways and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing resilient, secure, and scalable APIs and microservices.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders, engineers and partners.
• Passion for mentoring and growing talent.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Lean environments with a Dev Ops mindset.
