Information Security Engineer

Reporting to the Senior IT Manager – Business Engagement, the Information Security Engineer is responsible for overseeing the implementation of security procedures and policies, safeguarding computer systems, networks, and information, and promoting security best practices and awareness.

About T & T Supermarket: Founded in 1993 with two stores in BC, it is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country, including BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. The company plans further expansion in the coming years.

• Implement, maintain, and enhance security policies, standards, and controls.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits.
• Manage security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP solutions.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and patch systems.
• Investigate security breaches and prepare reports.
• Promote security awareness across the organization.
• Stay updated on industry standards and threats.
• Ensure compliance with frameworks like PCI, PII, CASL.
• Provide off-hours support and participate in shift rotations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in information security.
• Experience designing secure networks and systems.
• Hands-on experience with security management tools.
• Security certifications such as CISSP are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English;
  Chinese language skills are an asset.
