Job Description & How to Apply Below
It is 2:55 pm in Ripon, WI. You step onto the pressroom floor and gather your crew for a quick huddle before second shift kicks off at 3:00 pm. You review the production plan, confirm safety focus points, and line up resources to keep the high-volume schedule on track. Throughout the evening, you circulate across the stamping presses, remove roadblocks for operators, and collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering to keep parts flowing.
You coach, you listen, you recognize great work—and when something goes wrong, you lead a root-cause check and reset the team for success.
Your core impact
Be the first-line leader for the stamping press department, coordinating day-to-day activities to meet scheduled production targets and ensure team success.
Uphold a safety-first culture by enforcing policies, running audits, investigating incidents and near-misses, and ensuring PPE and current training for all team members.
Model servant leadership—develop, coach, and empower operators and technicians; foster an inclusive environment where every voice is heard.
Drive people development through training, mentoring, and cross-training; manage attendance and conduct; serve as the first point of contact for employee relations; partner with Union Stewards on contract and discipline matters.
Oversee high-volume press operations to achieve aggressive output, quality, and on-time delivery goals; dynamically assign work to maximize manpower and machine utilization.
Respond to shifting priorities, troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime, and maintain continuous flow.
Champion continuous improvement using 5S, Kaizen, and Lean methods; analyze downtime, scrap, and bottlenecks; implement countermeasures with cross-functional partners.
Keep precise production, quality, and safety records; report KPIs; collaborate quickly to resolve quality, tooling, and maintenance concerns under tight timelines.
Schedule and location
Based in Ripon, WI. Second shift, Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am. Additional work days may be required as needed.
What you bring
Proven servant leadership style with a track record of leading teams effectively.
One to three years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.
Supervisory experience in manufacturing, ideally in high-volume stamping press operations.
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations preferred.
Relevant professional, internship, or co-op experience considered.
Physical requirements
Ability to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and capability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
