Senior Accountant

Job Description

Neweast Isuzu is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis reports to support decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT filings and other statutory requirements.
• Support year‑end audit processes, liaising with auditors and providing required financial information.
• Review and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Monitor and maintain fixed asset schedules and perform depreciation calculations.
• Assist in improving accounting procedures and financial reporting systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with company goals.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
