Draftsman​/Document Controller

Position: DRAFTSMAN/DOCUMENT CONTROLLER

The Draftsman / Document Controller is responsible for providing drafting and document control support for the restoration works. The role ensures that all drawings are accurate and current, and that project documents are properly registered, tracked, controlled and readily retrievable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and update drawings, layouts and markups for scopes of work and tender documents.
• Review and verify as-built drawings submitted by contractors.
• Register, track and distribute submittals, transmittals, requests for information and correspondence.
• Maintain document registers, revision control and filing systems.
• Monitor review status and follow up on outstanding responses.
• Support the preparation of weekly progress reports and project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company document numbering, templates and confidentiality requirements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related technical discipline.
• AutoCAD or document control certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in drafting and document control on construction or facility projects.
• Technical proficiency in advanced AutoCAD;
  Revit is preferred.
• Familiarity with document control systems such as Aconex / EDMS, document numbering and revision control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English;
  Arabic is preferred.
• Strong organization and accuracy, confidentiality, time management and proactive follow-up skills.
