Position: Auto Mechanic (GM)

We are seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our dynamic team at a leading automotive dealership and distributor in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of automotive systems, particularly General Motors (GM) vehicles, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional service. As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of automotive systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

You will work closely with our service team to deliver high-quality repairs and maintain customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in GM vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, to restore vehicles to optimal operating condition.

Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle to ensure compliance with dealership standards.

Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs and provide estimates for services.

Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics to develop their skills and knowledge.

Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Preferred Candidate

Proven experience as an auto mechanic, preferably with a focus on GM vehicles.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Relevant certifications in automotive repair and maintenance are highly desirable.

Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and software.

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
