Director Design - Landscape; MAS

We are searching for a visionary Director of Design - Landscape to lead our landscape architecture efforts and conceptualize innovative, sustainable environments that align with our ambitious vision for a world-class destination.

As the Director of Design - Landscape, you will spearhead the design direction, strategy, and execution of all landscape architecture projects. You will manage a dynamic team of landscape architects and designers, ensuring that every project not only meets aesthetic standards but also addresses sustainability and feasibility. Your leadership will play a critical role in enhancing the overall guest experience and environmental integrity of Qiddiya’s developments.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust portfolio showcasing exemplary landscape designs and a record of successful project delivery at a senior level.

• Provide strategic leadership in landscape architecture, guiding design philosophy and vision across all projects.
• Oversee the development and execution of innovative landscape designs that resonate with Qiddiya's overarching goals and sustainability initiatives.
• Direct and mentor a talented team of landscape professionals, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, architects, and stakeholders to integrate landscape architecture with broader project objectives.
• Lead the procurement and management of external consultants and contractors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services consistent with Qiddiya’s standards.
• Establish and maintain relationships with governmental agencies, civic organizations, and community representatives to facilitate project approvals and engagement.
• Ensure all landscape designs comply with relevant environmental regulations, best practices, and the city framework guidelines.
• Conduct high-level site analyses to inform design decisions and mitigate environmental impacts.
• Manage project budgets, deadlines, and resources efficiently, ensuring effective project execution.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in landscape design, integrating new technologies and methods into projects as appropriate.
• Present design concepts and project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

• Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field;
  Professional License (e.g., ASLA, CMLI) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 14 - 18 years relevant experience in landscape architecture, with significant design leadership in large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and leading complex projects from conception through to completion.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative and successful landscape designs in urban, commercial, or recreational projects.
• In-depth knowledge of sustainable design practices, environment-related regulations, and landscape construction techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in landscape design software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and project management tools.
• Adept at budget management and resource allocation, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within defined time frames.
• Ability to navigate complex project environments and drive collaborative processes toward consensus.
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for innovation in landscape design.
