Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Associate Director - Public Realm & Landscaping to lead the design and development of public spaces and landscapes. This role is essential in shaping the visitor experience by integrating outdoor environments that are functional and culturally reflective of Qiddiya.
The successful candidate will oversee planning, design, and execution of public realm projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable spaces that enhance our entertainment and leisure destination.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for accessible, usable, and beautiful public spaces within Qiddiya.
- Lead design efforts for parks, plazas, walkways, and outdoor areas, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s vision.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to integrate public realm and landscaping with architectural and urban design.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and quality control throughout all phases.
- Engage with communities to gather input and foster ownership of public spaces.
- Assess public space performance and user experience, making improvements based on data.
- Apply sustainable practices in landscape design and maintenance to promote ecological health.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals for stakeholders and regulators.
- Mentor junior team members in design and project management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or related field;
Master’s preferred. - 10-15 years of experience in landscape architecture, urban design, or public space design, with leadership roles.
- Successful track record with large-scale public realm projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable landscape practices and ecological considerations.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and successful project outcomes.
- Excellent project management and coordination skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and landscape modeling tools.
- Analytical skills with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
