Job Description
OverviewThe Registrar in Pediatrics is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to pediatrics. This role integrates clinical expertise in pediatrics to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions. The Registrar will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans, ensure clinical quality and safety, and enhance patient satisfaction while committing to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose pediatric patients, including telehealth consultations, collect comprehensive histories (developmental milestones, medical history, vaccination history, and family history), and conduct virtual physical examinations.
- Analyze and interpret diagnostic tests (lab results and imaging) relevant to pediatric care.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, collaborate with families to set goals, and monitor responses through follow-up telehealth visits, adjusting plans as needed.
- Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications in line with pediatric guidelines.
- Uphold clinical quality standards, ensure safe practice, adhere to clinical guidelines, participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits, and report adverse events or incidents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, lead case discussions, share patient progress with providers, and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, comply with regulations, participate in CME and training, and stay current with changes in guidelines and best practices.
- Promote patient safety and satisfaction, implement safety protocols, solicit and analyze patient feedback, and address patient concerns with effective communication.
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training in Pediatrics from an accredited program.
- Board certification in Pediatrics or equivalent.
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Registrar – Pediatrics.
- Proficiency in telehealth technologies and platforms.
- Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with clinical assessment tools.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine platforms.
- Strong clinical judgment, analytical skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with pediatrics, population health management, and value-based care.
- Arabic and English language proficiency.
