The successful candidate will be a hands‑on engineer who works closely with students in our Electrical Engineering laboratories and supports them in a wide range of projects, hackathons, competitions, and extracurricular activities.

The role is primarily laboratory‑ and student‑centered rather than lecture‑focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizing and running technical workshops, bootcamps, and training sessions to enhance students’ practical skills and readiness for competitions.
  • Maintaining, calibrating, and upgrading laboratory equipment, tools, and software, and ensuring safe, organized, and well‑documented lab environments.
  • Collaborating with faculty on senior design projects, open days, showcases, and outreach activities that highlight student achievements and program strengths.
Required Qualifications
  • Hold at least a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant hands‑on laboratory experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate strong practical skills in setting up, running, and troubleshooting Electrical Engineering experiments and laboratory setups.
  • Show proven experience in supporting or leading student teams in competitions, hackathons, technical challenges, or similar student‑centered activities.
  • Exhibit a clear commitment to student development, mentoring, and active engagement beyond the classroom (clubs, projects, events).
  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills and be able to work effectively in a multicultural, student‑centered academic environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward improving labs, activities, and student experience.
  • Proven knowledge and hands‑on experience with:
    • Power systems and protection training panels (relays, breakers, distribution models, etc.)
    • PLCs, microcontrollers, and embedded systems (e.g., Arduino, PIC, STM
      32, Raspberry Pi)
    • Robotics, sensors, actuators, and basic mechatronics/automation kits
    • Renewable energy training systems (e.g., solar PV, wind, inverters, smart grid/energy lab setups)
    • Electrical and electronic measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, function generators, multimeters, data acquisition systems)
    • Engineering software commonly used in EE labs (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Multisim, PSIM/other circuit simulators)
Job Benefits
  • One‑year renewable contract (renewable subject to Dean/Director and student evaluation) and a competitive salary package based on academic qualification, rank and teaching experience as stated above.
  • Medical insurance coverage for the employee & dependents residing within the Kingdom (spouse & 4 children below 24 years of age).
