Senior Design Manager - Civils & Infrastructure - Sports Assets

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager for Civils & Infrastructure - Sports Assets to join our dynamic Sports business unit.

This role will involve overseeing the design and implementation of cutting-edge civil and infrastructure solutions for our state-of-the-art sports facilities, stadiums and arenas. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in civil engineering and infrastructure design, with a proven track record in managing complex projects within the context of major sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup and Olympic Games.

As the Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all civil engineering and infrastructure components align with our ambitious vision for Qiddiya's Sports Assets. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive the design process from conception through delivery, ensuring that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design management for civil engineering and infrastructure elements related to the Sports Assets portfolio
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to integrate civil and infrastructure designs effectively within the overall development framework
• Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure a seamless design process that meets project requirements
• Review design documents, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with all regulations and industry standards
• Manage and monitor project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones
• Conduct regular design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises
• Stay updated on the latest trends in civil engineering and infrastructure to incorporate best practices into projects
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and partners to facilitate project success
• Ensure adherence to sustainability practices and contribute to the environmental goals of Qiddiya

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a focus on sports facilities or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in managing and delivering complex infrastructure design projects
• Exceptional knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station, and BIM tools
• Proficient understanding of engineering principles, building codes, and safety regulations
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
• Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and fostering collaboration
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Experience with sustainability practices in civil engineering and infrastructure design is preferred
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
