We are looking for an experienced and motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our engineering consultancy team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering projects adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. As an HSE Engineer, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify potential risks and implement effective safety measures.

Your expertise will be vital in creating a culture of safety within our organization and ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities regarding health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of engineering projects.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits on engineering sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and ensure that lessons learned are communicated and applied to future projects.
  • Provide HSE training and workshops for employees and contractors, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to embed HSE considerations into project design and execution phases, ensuring safety is a priority.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement and compliance status.
  • Stay informed about changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices, updating company policies as necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Engage with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure alignment with HSE standards and foster positive relationships.
  • Assist in developing emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness for potential incidents.
  • Advise senior management on HSE matters, contributing to informed decision-making related to safety and environmental issues.
  • Preferred Candidate
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as an HSE Engineer or in a similar role within the engineering consultancy sector or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to engineering projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of assessing complex safety situations and providing effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proficiency in HSE management software and tools for tracking compliance and performance.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry advancements and trends.
