Director Design, Roads; DEL

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a focused and innovative Director of Design for Roads
. This key role will manage the design and implementation of road infrastructure projects within the expansive Qiddiya development. The ideal candidate will oversee all stages from conceptual design through to construction, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

• Lead the design review and management of road and highway projects within the Qiddiya development
• Collaborate with various internal teams, including engineering, construction, and project management, to ensure cohesive project delivery
• Establish and maintain relationships with external design consultants and regulatory authorities
• Ensure that all designs comply with local and international standards, codes, and best practices
• Review and approve design documentation, providing expert guidance and oversight
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost assessments, and risk analyses to inform design decisions
• Implement quality control measures and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Regularly report on project progress to senior management, highlighting any design risks and proposing mitigation strategies

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in road design and management, preferably within large-scale infrastructure projects
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects
• Strong technical expertise in road design principles, drainage systems, and traffic management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in the Middle East region, particularly with KSA regulations and standards, is highly preferred
• Proficient in design software and tools relevant to civil engineering and road design
• Demonstrated understanding of sustainability practices and the ability to incorporate them into design work
