Job SummaryThe MEP Engineer is responsible for supporting the execution of Electro‑Mechanical & Plumbing systems across the project. Working under the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) and alongside a multidisciplinary team of more than 80 site professionals, the MEP Engineer ensures that all MEP works meet project specifications, client requirements, safety standards, and sustainability goals. The role involves review of technical submittals, site monitoring, issue resolution, and coordination with contractors and other engineering disciplines.
Reporting to Senior Engineers and Resident Engineers, the MEP Engineer plays a key part in maintaining quality, design integrity, and timely project delivery.
- Assist in managing Electro‑Mechanical & Plumbing systems from design review to construction execution.
- Review technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements.
- Identify and resolve site issues to ensure compliance with project performance objectives.
- Act as a technical reference for Mechanical and Electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project standards and LEED requirements.
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex MEP systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Review RFIs and assist the team to provide technical recommendations.
- Coordinate with team members, other discipline engineers, contractors, and subcontractors on all MEP matters.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings and report on the status of MEP works.
- Ensure materials and equipment delivered to site comply with approved submittals.
- Support the planning and execution of MEP works under the guidance of the Project Director and Resident Engineers.
- Monitor safety compliance, building code adherence, and quality control standards.
- Conduct inspections and ensure corrective actions for non‑conformities.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, PMC, and Client representatives, ensuring transparency on work progress.
- Address technical concerns proactively and support the alignment of MEP works with project expectations.
- Work closely with Engineers and Technicians, contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Provide feedback and support continuous improvement of team performance.
- Perform other tasks related to the position as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related MEP discipline; advanced studies are a plus.
- 8–12 years of experience in large‑scale MEP projects, preferably within high‑profile or culturally significant developments.
- GCC experience preferred; experience with Construction Supervision Consultants is an advantage.
- Proficient in electro‑mechanical principles, CAD software, and relevant engineering tools.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high‑quality engineering delivery.
- Saudi counsel of engineering certificate (SCE) is mandatory.
