GIS Specialist

Eram Talent is seeking a proficient GIS Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to analyze spatial data, develop GIS applications, and manage geographic information systems to support various projects. Your contribution will be essential in providing accurate geospatial insights and enhancing decision-making processes.

• Key Responsibilities:
• QHSE Compliance
• Follow all QHSE procedures and report safety issues.
• Use appropriate PPE, maintain tools/vehicles, and support health and safety KPIs.
• Act as OHS Champion, if nominated.
• System Integration
• Ensure GIS data is compatible with systems like SAP, SCADA, and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Maintain key identifiers (e.g., FLOCs, GIS IDs) for integration.
• Data Capture & Digitization
• Collect GIS data via as-built drawings, GPS, and remote sensing.
• Digitize and update GIS based on contractor submissions and QA/QC field verification.
• Cartography & Mapping
• Design and produce high-quality maps and thematic layers.
• Provide GIS maps for hydraulic calculations, analysis, and reporting.
• GIS Data Management
• Convert and input survey data into GIS layers.
• Maintain and update GIS data per Business Unit and contractor inputs.
• Use ESRI tools to manage asset-related GIS data.
• Database & Archives
• Train users, maintain GIS tools/software, and ensure regular database backups.
• Organize GIS data in File GDB and Oracle SDE with proper metadata.
• GIS Portal Development
• Build and maintain web GIS portals, maps, and mobile apps.
  
  Train users on GIS portal functionality and map usage.

• Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Sciences, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with GIS technologies and tools.
• Minimum experience in GIS using ArcGIS 10.X, covering piping, electrical, mechanical and civil works.
• Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and other mapping tools.
• Skills in GIS system especially in managing water utilities networks.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of spatial analysis techniques.
• Experience in managing and maintaining large geospatial databases.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to create compelling visualizations and reports to present geospatial data effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
