About the Role
The Sales Team Lead – Commercial & Industrial Refrigeration is based in Riyadh and is responsible for driving sales and project conversion across the KSA market by delivering optimized refrigeration solutions. In addition to hands‑on technical sales responsibilities, the role includes leading, guiding, and supporting a small sales team to ensure consistent performance and capability development.
How You Will Make an Impact- Act as a technical sales expert for Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration systems, ensuring customer requirements are translated into optimal engineering solutions.
- Analyze customer applications and recommend appropriate refrigeration systems based on cooling capacity, energy efficiency, load calculations, compliance standards, and lifecycle cost.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, system proposals, and solution demonstrations to consultants, contractors, end users, and key decision‑makers.
- Provide pre‑sales engineering support, including product selection, system configuration, preliminary design input, and technical clarifications.
- Support post‑sales activities by coordinating with service, execution, and CS teams to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify, develop, and track new refrigeration projects and business opportunities across KSA, converting leads into secured orders and revenue.
- Collaborate with account managers and internal stakeholders to develop competitive technical‑commercial proposals, tenders, and cost estimates.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts (monthly and annual) and regularly update opportunities and commitments in Salesforce/CRM.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor solutions, and regulatory standards, and provide structured feedback to product and solution teams.
- Promote Daikin and affiliated refrigeration brands and turnkey solutions, ensuring alignment with customer applications and project requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and support the refrigeration sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on‑the‑job support to team members during solution development and customer engagements.
- Monitor team performance, pipeline health, and deal progression, and support corrective actions where required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration sales, preferably within large‑scale or project‑based environments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising a sales team.
- Experience working with Industrial Refrigeration Products and Ammonia systems is preferred.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring junior sales engineers or team members is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, applications, and solution‑based selling.
- Solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals, system costing, and techno‑commercial evaluations.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships, influence decision‑makers, and negotiate commercial terms effectively.
- Experience in dealer development, channel management, and achieving agreed KPIs and sales targets.
- Proficiency in order management, CRM usage, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Ability to coordinate closely with operations, execution, and finance teams to ensure timely billing, invoicing, and payment collection.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and reporting skills with excellent time management and stakeholder coordination.
