About the Role
This position is a critical on-site role at Riyadh Airport, where you will serve as a key guardian of fire safety. As our Fire Protection Systems Inspector, you will be entrusted with ensuring the operational integrity and legal compliance of all fire suppression, detection, and prevention systems. Your work directly contributes to the protection of assets, personnel, and passengers within a major international aviation hub.
This role requires a proactive inspector who can autonomously manage the full inspection lifecycle and act as a subject matter expert.
- Lead the inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of the entire spectrum of fire protection systems, including portable fire extinguishers, water sprinkler systems, fire alarm and detection networks, kitchen suppression systems, fire pumps, and passive fire protection elements.
- Systematically document all inspection findings, create precise records, and generate formal compliance reports for management and regulatory authorities (e.g., Civil Defense).
- Develop and deliver practical fire extinguisher training sessions for airport staff to enhance emergency preparedness and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, particularly in the handling of specialized equipment and pressurized cylinders.
- Maintain up-to-date expertise on relevant codes and standards (NFPA series, Saudi Building Code SBC
801) and implement best practices. - Act as the primary technical liaison for fire safety, coordinating directly with internal stakeholders, the local Civil Defense authority, and other government entities (GACA).
- A Diploma in Engineering, Safety, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct, hands‑on experience in fire system inspection, maintenance, or facilities safety management.
- Certified Fire Inspector (CFI) or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrable, practical knowledge of key NFPA standards (10, 25, 72) and the Saudi Building Code (SBC
801) is essential. - Must possess excellent technical reporting skills, strong analytical abilities for problem‑solving, and effective organizational skills to manage inspection schedules independently.
- Physically capable of performing site inspections, including lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 23 kg.
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant asset for local coordination and reporting.
