The engineer will lead advanced wireless (Wi-Fi) design and optimization while also possessing solid Routing & Switching skills and foundational knowledge of CURWB and SDA.
Key Responsibilities- Lead RF site surveys and wireless optimization projects using Ekahau Pro
. - Analyze RF behavior, optimize AP placement, and enhance coverage, performance, and reliability.
- Deliver wireless design (HLD/LLD), architectural planning, and integration support.
- Provide operational support for complex enterprise wireless deployments and document best practices.
- Participate in or lead detailed network design, performance engineering, and troubleshooting engagements.
- Support configuration, testing, and cutover of Cisco WLCs, APs, and wireless in SDA and non-SDA environments.
- Assist with wireless integrations involving Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA Center
.
- 5+ years in enterprise Wi‑Fi engineering with strong RF design and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands‑on expertise with Cisco wireless (APs, WLCs, RF optimization, assurance).
- Proficiency with Ekahau Pro for RF surveys and reporting.
- Working knowledge of CURWB and SDA wireless operations.
- Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts and their impact on wireless.
- Solid hands‑on experience with:
- VLANs, STP, Ether Channel
- Routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
- Ability to troubleshoot end‑to‑end connectivity and network performance issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- CCNP Enterprise / Wireless or equivalent experience.
- Experience with ISE, DNAC, wireless security, and automation basics.
