Purpose of Position- To help organizations operate in an environmentally and socially responsible way by developing and implementing strategies to reduce their negative impact, manage resources efficiently, and meet environmental goals.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.
- Professional Environmental and sustainability strategies and development.
- Responsible for environmental compliance, analysis, KSA requirements.
- Custodian of key environmental reporting.
- Digital Reporting Platform (Monitor-pro) usage.
- Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
- Develop an Environmental Activity plan and ensure all environmental requirements—including inspections, audits, and emergency response—are listed at appropriate intervals.
- Prepare a schedule and conduct internal and external Environmental audits.
- Prioritize the health and safety of workers and the surrounding community.
- Lead waste management and resource efficiency efforts to reduce environmental impact.
- Monitor, supervise, and manage environmental aspects of work in accordance with the client’s environmental policies, procedures, CEMP, and frameworks.
- Coordinate and participate in the investigation of environmental accidents and near misses.
- Evaluate and enhance project designs to meet sustainability standards.
- Review and verify sustainability certifications for all products used.
- Evaluate materials for sustainability, prioritizing eco‑friendly and low‑carbon options.
- 10 years and above with 5 years of relevant KSA experience and relevant project management qualifications.
- MSc/BSc in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
- Lead Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and CD3 documentation.
- Ensure compliance with HCFC and other Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement mitigation and management plans.
- Utilize data analysis and digital reporting platforms.
- Prepare weekly and monthly environmental monitoring reports.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage hazards effectively.
- Aggregate data from contractors via the PMCs in terms of waste recycling/disposal, chemicals consumption on site.
- Construction safety knowledge.
- Emergency preparedness and response: knowledge of emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans and first aid protocols.
