Job DescriptionParsons is seeking an experienced Quality Lead – MEP (Airfield) to lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for a Runway / Airfield / Airport project.
The role is responsible for ensuring that all MEP installations comply with contractual requirements, approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and aviation authority standards.
The Quality Lead – MEP is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across all MEP works for Runway / Airfield / Airport projects. This role requires strong technical leadership, in-depth knowledge of MEP systems, and a systematic approach to quality management to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and aviation authority requirements while supporting successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and extensive experience in managing quality on large-scale infrastructure or airport projects.
What You’ll Be Doing- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System for MEP works in line with ISO 9001, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Develop and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures for MEP activities.
- Ensure effective integration of quality requirements into all MEP construction processes.
- Oversee QA/QC activities for MEP systems including electrical power, lighting, airfield ground lighting (AGL), HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, drainage, and ELV systems.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes, and aviation standards (ICAO / DGCA / FAA where applicable).
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and inspection requests.
- Ensure proper inspection and testing of MEP installations in accordance with approved ITPs.
- Coordinate testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities with construction and commissioning teams.
- Review test results, inspection records, and commissioning documentation.
- Conduct internal quality audits and site inspections for MEP works.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure timely closure of quality issues and implementation of improvement measures.
- Coordinate with Client, Consultant, and regulatory authorities on MEP quality-related matters.
- Attend quality meetings, inspections, and audits representing the project.
- Support approval processes and resolve quality issues through proactive coordination.
- Ensure proper control and maintenance of MEP quality records and documentation.
- Review and approve quality reports, inspection records, test certificates, and commissioning documents.
- Prepare and submit monthly quality performance reports to senior management.
- Lead and manage the MEP QA/QC team including QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to MEP quality personnel.
- Monitor team performance and ensure efficient execution of quality activities.
- Identify quality risks associated with MEP installations and interfaces with civil and systems works.
- Implement risk-based inspection, testing, and verification strategies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across MEP quality processes.
- Ensure completeness of MEP quality documentation for project handover and close-out.
- Support final inspections, snag list closure, and systems handover.
- Coordinate quality requirements during commissioning and operational readiness phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
