Overview
Dedicated Site Reliability Engineer role s onsite position focuses on supporting our customers in Saudi Arabia and maintaining and optimizing private cloud infrastructure.
Location:
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Our site reliability engineers bring Python software engineering skills and rigor to the operations domain. We practice Dev Sec Ops from bare metal to application. We architect and run Open Stack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage, and we enable Dev Sec Ops for applications running on that infrastructure too. The role requires the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, collaborate directly with clients, ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of the private cloud, and operate in a high-pressure environment with mission-critical services for global brand name customers.
Responsibilities- Maintain and optimize clients private cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate onsite with customers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Drive automation as a software engineering problem, using metrics and code to improve operations.
- Learn the full stack from bare metal networking and kernel up to serverless and open source applications.
- Architect and run Open Stack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage; enable Dev Sec Ops for applications on that infrastructure.
- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Bash scripting expertise
- Python software development expertise
- Operational experience
- Troubleshooting and incident-solving expertise in Linux environments
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing, on-site role
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
- Experience with Open Stack or Kubernetes deployment or operations
- Familiarity with public or private cloud management
- Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person
