The Role
Qualcomm is leveraging its expertise in hardware‑accelerated AI to deliver powerful, energy‑efficient generative AI and computer vision workloads for data centres. As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) on the Qualcomm Data Centre team in Riyadh, you will manage key customer projects and oversee technical aspects of hardware and software deployments for deep learning inference acceleration at rack‑scale. This role requires strong technical leadership, project management skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Support the sales account manager by leading the management of the technical relationships between the customer and Qualcomm’s Data Centre business unit.
- Provide overall project management for the customer project from concept through commercial deployment.
- For projects under development: drive customer issues to resolution, mitigate escalations and set expectations with the customer by collaborating with engineering on a daily basis.
- For projects under evaluation: engage with the customer by organizing trainings, reviewing the design concept, gathering project requirements, and analyzing the gaps & risk involved in commercial deployment.
- Align customer milestones with Qualcomm’s hardware and software deliverable timeline by collaborating with product and program management.
- Review the customer portfolio on a monthly basis, prioritize customer projects and provide justification for technical support resource allocation.
- 8+ years cloud data centre experience.
- 4+ years of managing large scale data centre projects and customer relationships.
- Ability to proactively manage customer expectations to influence customer relations and design decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to a range of audiences.
- Familiarity with cloud reliability requirements, SLAs, and instance qualification processes.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Program Manager experience, managing complex technical projects in a SW environment.
- Experience leading and directing engineers that are in independent functional organizations.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
- Preferred:
Master’s in Business Administration and/or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
