About the role
Security Matterz is looking for a Pre‑Sales Cybersecurity Engineer to support our sales team in designing and positioning advanced security solutions for our customers. You will work closely with account managers, vendors, and technical teams to understand client requirements, build tailored solutions, and help win strategic opportunities across different sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with sales/account managers to qualify opportunities and understand customer business and technical needs.
- Design high‑level cybersecurity solutions (e.g., SIEM/SOC, XDR/EDR, SOAR, Email Security, Network Security, IAM/PAM, DLP, Cloud Security).
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to customers.
- Lead PoCs (Proof of Concept) and solution evaluations, including deployment support, tuning, and reporting.
- Respond to RFPs/RFQs, including technical requirements, solution design, compliance matrices, and BoM/Sizing.
- Align with vendors and distributors to validate designs, pricing, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from pre‑sales to implementation (HLD, LLD, documentation).
- Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
- Ensure proposed solutions consider local regulations and frameworks (e.g., NCA, SAMA, PDPL, ISO 27001) where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Networking, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or related technical role (pre‑sales experience is a strong plus).
- Good understanding of several security domains, such as Network Security (Firewalls, VPN, IPS, WAF, ZTNA), Email & Web Security, DLP, Cloud Security (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Experience in solution design, sizing, and BoM creation.
- Previous exposure to RFPs, proposals, or technical tender responses is a plus.
- Strong presentation, communication, and customer‑facing skills – able to explain complex topics in simple language.
- Fluency in English is required;
Arabic is a strong advantage. - Relevant certifications are a plus.
