Data Architecture Principle Expert

Job Purpose

The role holder is responsible for developing and maintaining the overall Digital technology architecture models and roadmap providing technical leadership and consulting across. This position exists to evaluate current Cybersecurity architectures, define gaps, develop transition roadmaps and establishing principles. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure.

• Define processes for maintaining data flows for EDW sources and between OLTP systems.
• Build, model and document various enterprise information/data models and create a coherent integrated set of data repositories.
• Develop optimization solutions architecture and propose domain specific remedial high‑level architecture guidance solutions to existing data inconsistencies and lack of integrity, optimizing data storage and reducing costs.
• Authorize and co‑sign off architecture design blueprints of systems and solutions implemented within the BI Platform data to ensure consistency with overall Data Architecture.
• Manage the design of data architecture modelling and evaluate impact as needed.
• Update the Architecture repository with relevant artifacts, deliverables, and architectural details.
• Define Architecture principles, frameworks, guidelines and roadmap for Technology Architecture Governance aligned with Group Architecture Governance & Enablement and shared with stc group subsidiaries.
• Manage E2E architectural engagement (blueprinting, assessment, etc.) as per the E2E architecture development processes.
• Evaluate and assess the as‑is architecture and conduct the assessment to define the to‑be architecture.
• Define gaps between As‑Is and To‑Be data architectures and define the transition architecture and roadmap for addressing those gaps.
• Support Technology Excellence & Control to translate architecture roadmap into materialized demands and executable projects/programs as needed.
• Evaluate and review technical & architecture proposals such as RFIs & RFP and provide insights.
• Develop and maintain principles, guidelines, policies, and reference architectures for the respective domain.
• Identify and materialize studies around technology efficiency and optimization.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3‑4 years of experience in a similar role.

• Prior experience in managing large scale Technology Architecture Transformation and Implementation programs.
• Preferred prior experience in leading large scale technology organizations (Network or IT).
• Exposure to emerging trends and technologies in previous roles.

• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence C‑level executives.
• Sound knowledge of the telecom industry, related technology innovation and vendor / platform landscape.
• Strong knowledge of Management and Financial systems.

Bachelor Degree in Technology or Computer Technology
Masters Degree in Computer Science
