Technology Architecture Governance Principle Expert
Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for defining and executing Technology Architecture Governance standards and guidelines, reviewing architectural proposals, mitigating risks, and maintaining the Enterprise Architecture repository to support coherent and efficient architecture across the TUs. This position evaluates and assesses potential risks associated with architecture and ensures compliance measures mitigate risks effectively. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.
Responsibility
- Provide clear and comprehensive guidelines for architecture standards and collaborate with Group Architecture Governance & Enablement to communicate them for stc group subsidiaries.
- Manage the review of architectural proposals and changes, making it predictable and efficient for teams with standardized processes submitting requests.
- Approve architecture standards being created or to be updated, and ensure they are communicated to stakeholders as necessary.
- Manage the reviews and updates of architectural standards and processes as technology and business needs evolve over time.
- Ensure that the architectural standards are optimal to reflect current market trends and best practices.
- Provide transparency in decision‑making and ensure that teams understand the reasoning behind architecture standards.
- Evaluate and assess the potential risks associated with architecture changes and ensure compliance measures mitigate risks effectively.
- Manage the review design for major projects to ensure architecture matches standards and is compatible throughout the business.
- Evaluate and assess RFP requirements and provide recommendations and options to the TUs sectors.
- Evaluate and assess RFX approved projects and make decisions related to the termination, extension or continuation of projects.
- Develop and maintain the matrix for EA repository data ownership, reviewed and approved by capability owner.
- Define processes and policies to ensure data are refreshed and entered properly to the tool, including the process documentation.
- Conduct awareness sessions on the EA repository to end users, presenting materials that should be discussed and reviewed by capability owner.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3‑4 years in a similar role.
Nature Of Experience- Prior experience in leading Enterprise PMO/Program/Project Management and execution at an organizational level.
- Preferred prior experience in hardware/software asset at large scale.
- Prior experience in OSP implementation projects and managing integration and optimization of project portfolio in a large telecommunications organization.
- Experience in fiber construction management, design of copper and fiber optic facilities, aerial, underground and buried applications, and materials testing and analysis in a telecommunications organization.

- Sound knowledge of the telecom industry, vendor, and platform landscape.

- Strong cross‑functional collaboration and relationship management ability.
- Sound knowledge of fibers and digital loop electronics fundamentals.
Bachelor Degree in Technology
Masters Degree in Electronics
Certifications- Certification in Advanced Program/Project Management (PMP/Prince
2) or equivalent. - Relevant certification in telecommunications such as Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS).
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP).
