• The jobholder will be expected to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the Lead Solutions Architect, agreeing direction and priorities for future developments.
• To work closely with the project teams to ensure that the architecture, design, implementation and end results meet the business and customer requirements.
• The jobholder will assist the team in the creation of technical Statements of Work that will enable the project teams to define accurate implementation timescales for all projects.
• The jobholder will be proactive in identifying problem areas as well as opportunities, and making recommendations to the Lead Solutions Architect.
• To develop and maintain working relationships with customers and colleagues.
• To constantly investigate and evaluate the business potential of emerging technologies and products.
• The jobholder will be creative in researching, to understand issues and find innovative answers quickly.
• Help the Lead Solutions Architect develop an architectural model to present to all existing and new customers.
• The jobholder will be expected to maintain a good level of knowledge of the applications and technology used within the business environment.
• The jobholder will be expected to assist in the formulation of questions used in business conversations to elicit facts or statements from customers.

• Educated to degree level standard in a relevant discipline with excellent knowledge of hardware and software across a variety of platforms.
• The employee should have proven supervisory and motivational skills within a technical and business support environment.
• The employee will be aware of general business processes and practices.
• The employee should have a minimum of seven years experience in an IT Support environment.
• The employee will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The employee should have excellent analytical and technical design skills.
• The employee will have a minimum of two years experience within a project management environment.
• The employee will have a good understanding of network architecture.
• The employee will have excellent knowledge of client/server systems.
• The employee will be able to translate business needs into technical architecture requirements.
• The employee will have experience in implementing architecture design solutions within a complex infrastructure.
• The employee will be expected to hold, and maintain, valid industry certifications at an intermediate to advanced level. (At a minimum these should be equivalent to Microsoft MCSE, MCSD. Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCDP. Novell CNE, MCNE.)
