Security Operations Engineer (F5 BIG-IP)

We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Engineer with hands-on experience in F5 BIG-IP solutions to support, secure, and optimize our application delivery and network security infrastructure. The role focuses on load balancing, web application security, monitoring, and operational support to ensure high availability and strong security posture.

• Configure and manage F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers according to business and office requirements.
• Maintain and operate F5 security solutions, including:
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  • Advanced Firewall Manager (AFM)
• Implement security policies to monitor applications and prevent cyberattacks.
• Use F5 monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., F5 Analytics) to evaluate network performance and system resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to F5 infrastructure and network connectivity.
• Provide technical support to network and application teams to ensure service continuity.
• Perform regular system updates and upgrades for F5 platforms to enhance security and performance.
• Test updates and patches to ensure they do not impact production environments.
• Document configurations, policies, and operational procedures applied to F5 devices.
• Prepare periodic reports on network status and the effectiveness of F5 security solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with F5 BIG-IP administration and operations.
• Strong understanding of network security and web application security concepts.
• Hands-on experience with WAF, AFM, Load Balancing, and SSL/TLS.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• F5 certifications (e.g., F5-CA, F5-CTS) are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
