IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, identifying project scope, timelines, and resources required.
- Assign and manage resources, including Service Now consultants, to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal team members, to provide project status updates and ensure their needs are being met.
- Identify and manage project risks, including scope changes, resource constraints, and other factors that may impact project success.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet the client’s quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Manage project budgets and financials, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
- Manage change requests, including scope changes and other project changes that may impact project timelines and resources.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and other project-related materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience managing Service Now projects, including project planning, resource management, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.
- Service Now certification in various areas such as Service Now Administration, IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, or Custom Application Development is desirable.
Overall, the Service Now Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of Service Now projects for clients. This includes managing a team of Service Now consultants, developing and maintaining project plans, managing project resources, communicating with stakeholders, identifying and managing project risks, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards, managing project budgets and financials, managing change requests, and creating and maintaining project documentation.
