Data Governance Consultant

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current data governance practices and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and standards.
• Define data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance workflows and processes.
• Conduct data quality assessments and define metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality.
• Design and implement data governance training programs to raise awareness and promote adherence to data governance practices.
• Develop and maintain data catalogues and metadata repositories.
• Identify data security and privacy risks and implement appropriate controls.
• Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  
  Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data governance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Governance Consultant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and methodologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
• Knowledge of data quality management practices and metrics.
• Familiarity with data catalogues and metadata management tools.
• Understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
