We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data architecture, infrastructure, and tools necessary for optimal extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and analysis of large‑scale datasets. You will play a key leadership role in shaping our data strategy, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, strong architectural skills, and a proven track record of building robust, scalable data solutions.

• Design and architect scalable batch and real‑time data pipelines
• Lead technical initiatives and drive architectural decisions for the data platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, conducting code reviews and establishing engineering best practices
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reliability, and observability through monitoring and alerting systems
• Build and maintain infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources using modern ELT/ETL patterns
• Develop and maintain data models (dimensional modeling, data vault, etc.) that support analytics and business intelligence
• Design self‑service analytics capabilities and frameworks to empower stakeholders
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards across the data platform
• Perform advanced database administration, performance tuning, and query optimization
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve the data stack

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role with demonstrated progression in responsibility
• Strong skills in leading technical projects
• Expert‑level knowledge of relational database engines at scale (Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift)
• Advanced SQL skills including complex query optimization and performance tuning
• Proven experience designing and implementing production‑grade data pipelines and architectures
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java for data manipulation, pipeline orchestration, and automation
• Hands‑on experience with modern data transformation frameworks (dbt, SQL‑based transformations)
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
• Deep understanding of data modeling principles and best practices (star schema, snowflake schema, data vault)
• Proficiency with AWS data services (DMS, S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, EMR)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform)
• Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and observability tools
• Experience with stream processing technologies (Apache Kafka, Kinesis, or similar)
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control (Git, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI)
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, Looker)
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
