ROLE PURPOSE

The Fresh Food Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing sourcing, supplier relationships, and product selection for MAF Retail’s fresh food category. The role ensures the right products reach stores and online platforms, optimizes procurement processes, and drives supplier negotiations for quality and cost efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for fresh food to maintain optimal stock levels.

Research and review new fresh food products and suppliers for quality and cost improvements.

Manage tenders, RFQs, and supplier negotiations to secure profitable deals.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including risk management and future partnerships.

Analyze procurement data to optimize costs and reduce shortages or overstocking.

Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards and conduct regular audits.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand demand and improve offerings.

Support team development and adhere to Majid Al Futtaim Retail Human Capital policies.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s is advantageous.

5–7 years in similar roles; 2–4 years in retail/FMCG preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and Excel skills.

Excellent English.
