Software Quality Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our growing team. As an SQA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications. You will design, execute, and maintain manual test cases to ensure the products meet the highest quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the software development life cycle.

• Manage logging of issues and defects in JIRA and provide status reports to management in status meetings and weekly reports.
• Experience with Fintech solutions or similar financial data platforms, including testing data integrity, APIs, and reporting functionalities.
• Collaborate with the Scrum Master and development leads to optimize resource allocation and accelerate delivery of user stories; perform backend testing and write SQL queries for validation.
• Conduct tests for functionality, GUI, end-to-end, system, configuration, and backend using web servers.
• Create, edit, and maintain functional regression test scripts for Java portal systems and execute them manually; work with JSON and HTTP.
• Assist in documenting screen mock-ups in HTML and contribute to application design; perform bug fixes and maintenance of data storage tools and UI applications.
• Prioritize and automate main business flows with Selenium and execute scripts on multiple builds.
• Ensure UI and non-UI user stories meet requirements and capture process documentation for each sprint.

• Experience with Fintech industry practices.
• Good knowledge of databases and SQL for validating test results.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance, with knowledge of manual testing methods.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Experience with API testing, mobile app testing, or performance testing is a plus.
