API Test Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced API Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing APIs, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our services. As a Senior API Test Engineer, you will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for APIs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Review and analyze system specifications and API documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Identify,
  record, document thoroughly

• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Java Script
• Strong experience with testing frameworks and tools such as JMeter, Postman, SoapUI, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
• Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
