Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a collaborative team where your ideas and input make a real impact?

My client are looking for a motivated and detail-driven engineer to produce accurate design solutions for bespoke and standard equipment in a fast-paced design office environment.

You'll work cross-functionally with departments across the business and play a key role in supporting manufacturing and project delivery.

• Produce detailed design and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and 3D design software
• Support larger project teams and review colleagues’ work for consistency and accuracy
• Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards
• Conduct site visits and surveys as required (UK and overseas)
• Collaborate with production and technical teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Capture and apply any design changes or improvements post-manufacture

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software
• Experience designing bespoke and standard mechanical equipment
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of relevant codes of practice and compliance standards
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, when required
• Ability to reliably commute to site or plan to relocate before starting

• Competitive salary (£38,000–£42,000, depending on experience)
