Advanced Practitioner – Safeguarding Team

What You Will Do

Leadership and Safeguarding Excellence:

Act as a Safeguarding Adult Manager (SAM), leading investigations and serving as an Independent Chair for safeguarding case conferences.

Provide leadership, guidance, and professional supervision to social workers, support planners, and other staff.

Undertake specialist assessments and manage complex cases requiring expert oversight.

Quality and Assurance:

Lead on audits of practice
, using findings to improve quality assurance and inform training and development initiatives.

Promote and embed high standards of professional practice across the service.

Support continuous improvement by contributing to the development of procedures and policies.

Mentoring and Development:

Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, including those on the ASYE programme and student social workers.

Contribute to training sessions and share expertise to build a strong, skilled workforce.
