We are looking for a motivated, compassionate individual looking to joint our team
Join our dynamic and supportive Enhanced Intermediate Care Unit (EIMC) where your contribution will make a real difference in the recovery and independence of our patients.
As a band 3 Health Care Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting patients during their recovery journey. Our Enhanced IMC provides short term person-centred care that helps to avoid unnecessary admission but also facilitates safe discharge.
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Main duties of the jobYou will work closely with the multidisciplinary team including nurses, therapist and doctors to deliver high quality care. This role is ideal for HCAs with experience or interest in rehabilitation, reablement or intermediate care services. You will be required to work days/ nights/ weekends and Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to patient in line with care plans.
- Assist in promoting patient mobility, independence, and rehabilitation goals.
- Observe and record vital signs, promptly reporting concerns.
- Clinical skills including venepuncture, cannulation and Blood sugar monitoring.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning.

Person Specification Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship - or equivalent experience
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
- Care Certificate
- Experience of working as a Care Support Worker or equivalent in a Health or Social care setting
- Experience of working within a team
- Demonstrates an interest or previous experience in supporting other health care staff and learners
- Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
- Good communication (written and verbal skills)
- Basic IT skills
- Good organisational skills
