The Quality Systems Officer will be responsible for ensuring quality activities meet organizational requirements for quality management, health & safety, legal stipulations, and environmental policies. The role holds full responsibility for maintaining and improving the QMS, monitoring quality metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Ensure Quality standards are maintained and QMS procedures are followed.
- Maintain systems for measuring necessary aspects of quality management and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor, measure and report on quality issues, opportunities and risks within agreed formats and timescales.
- Perform and maintain core site QMS activities: document control, CAPAs, investigations, complaints, supplier management and change controls.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken to address non‑conformances and perform verifications.
- Undertake detailed root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Perform internal audits in adherence to the audit schedule.
- Maintain KPIs from electronic QMS activities weekly/monthly and provide detailed trend analysis.
- Responsible for Quality Induction and eQMS training.
- Responsible for label updates and final approval of product labels.
- Support the company’s ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 17025 certifications, and prepare for client/regulatory audits.
- Relevant scientific qualification desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience within QA desirable.
- Experience with electronic Quality Management Systems preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office); strong administrative and report‑writing skills.
- Methodical, process‑driven with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines while producing high‑quality, accurate work.
- Ability to prioritize and manage own workload.
