Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a market leader in the CCGT Power Station sector, actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Group Engineering team at their Combined Cycle Gas Turbine facility in Kent, with occasional travel to other sites.

What's on offer:

Basic salary of £55,000 - £60,000
Discretionary bonus: up to 30%

Responsibilities

Support the Mechanical Engineer Lead and assist with maintenance activities to ensure reliable, continuous plant operation.
Assisting in Project-based work (long-term planning and smaller multi-million-pound projects) with the potential of taking on projects of your own.
Help maintain asset compliance with regulatory, industry, and company standards.
Contribute to safe, efficient, and profitable generation aligned with company goals.
Participate in maintenance projects and plant upgrades focused on reliability and performance improvement.
Provide technical advice and support to site on maintenance best practices.

Skills and Experience

Experience with large rotating equipment and/or HRSG pressure systems (power generation preferred).

Experience:

Refineries, Paper mills and other industries working with heavy rotating equipment will be considered. Outages, shutdowns, and power station operations is preferred.
Strong understanding of health & safety, environmental, and engineering standards and legislation.
Knowledge of budgeting, contract management, and maintenance work planning.
Minimum HNC qualification in engineering; degree desirable.
Proficient in MS Office, Maximo, and Cintellate; familiar with Generation Safety Rules.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills.
Committed to continuous learning, safety, and high professional standards.
Valid driving licence and willingness to work across multiple sites.
