This position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery used for cooking while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Cooker operator controls the cooking process from hydrolyzing the product to a finished product.

Schedule

Monday
- Friday, some Saturday work, 2:30 PM
- Production end

Starting pay rate

$18.70/hr + $2/hr shift differential

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

• Running the Machinery that processes the meat into make meal.
• Transferring of hydrolyzed meal to storage.

6 months continuous work history in 2 years

Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and risk of electrical shock.

The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

This facility does accept rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than 2 previous times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
