Senior Frontend Developer

LOQUIS is a fast growing startup based in Rome, Milan and Madrid, landed on the market in 2018. Loquis is a geo-podcasting app which lets the world talk to you by allowing users to record and listen to a variety of stories, talks and information about neighbors, cultural sites, events and so forth. To date we have been able to successfully scale in Italy and now expanding in the EU!

Hundreds of thousands of listeners and creators are now on Loquis. We are now getting ready to scale our product at an international level.
What we are looking for
We are currently looking for a Senior Front End Developer (or Full Stack Engineer) to scale and optimize the Loquis frontend architecture. We are not going to write cryptic algorithms, nor use exotic languages. We build robust, scalable and secure systems for the Loquis platform. We always aim to be pragmatic and focused on the problem  developer will work in direct relationship with our app (mobile side) team, backed lead, design lead and frontend team, as well as being paired with our product manager and our growth hacker to deliver the product roadmap.
What you will do
Challenge yourself and us on finding the simplest ways to deliver the highest impact with the lowest effort
Collaborate on sprints in a scrum team, inspired by agile and lean principles, quarterly aligned on defined company goals
Work productively on Slack and Jira, learning how to review and read code first and to write readable commits afterwards
Make it secure from the grounds up, understanding real world security implications on production systems
Fail fast and recover faster, handling failures instead of avoiding them
Experience what we build at large scale and on a daily basis
Respect everyone and everyone will respect you, be humble and brave
Build up your future and discover your abilities, we’ll help, whatever it takes
No strict requirements (we assume you have at least a 4+ years of experience in a similar position), stacks are just toolkits and you’re a quick learner.
English language skills in line before probation completion.
You’ll Be Exposed To Different Problems And Technologies Everyday, We Heavily Rely On Amazon Web Services To Deploy Our Infrastructure (words in bold are critical for us):
REACT
Linux, Apache Tomcat, nginx
AWS   EC2 ,  RDS , Lambda,  Cloud Front ,  S3 , Media Convert
Firebase - Google analytics setup and management
Very Nice to have:  you bring your own AI assisted dev stack and work with other colleagues to growth this practice
