Key responsibilities:

Handling and managing general cargo and project shipments, incl. full operational (technical) and cost control / profitability (commercial) aspects

Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners and other offices for any project operations-related issues

Shipping all kind of cargo, incl. out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globe

Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors

Calculating and monitoring project profits

Supporting sales team in writing up offers and proposals to clients

Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment

Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.

Skills, knowledge and expertise:

Successfully completed training in the field of freight forwarding

Work experience in the freight forwarding industry

Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and management

Know-how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight, incl. break bulk, is an advantage

Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail

Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)

Able to communicate very good in English and Italian, both written and verbal
