ResponsibilitiesAs part of a small team you will work under detailed electrical instructions and regulatory requirements, liaise with response staff during electrical incidents, configure power supplies, analyse electrical diagrams, make cases for amendments, plan and effect electrical isolations, interface with maintenance units, liaise with HV energy supply companies for outage planning, monitor railway electrical infrastructure via supervisory systems across a large area, and maintain security integrity of the control.
Adapt to continual competency assessment and complex electrically oriented regulations. The byd includes shift work across a 365‑day 24/7 pattern, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
- Support roster requirements outlined above.
- Electrical and/or power distribution experience or background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Electrical bias qualifications and/or appropriate HV practical experience.
- Power control system operational knowledge or equivalent.
- Able to read complex electrical diagrams.
- Able to remain calm in emergencies.
