General Operative GO1 – Unilin Insulation

We are looking for a skilled General Operative to join our team. The focus of this role is to complete all GO1 tasks to a high standard, continuously challenging the status quo and leading evolution, continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare, while promoting Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus, and team approach.

Permanent Position, working on shift pattern:
Monday to Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm.

• Health & Safety – to encourage and practice working in a safe manner as set out in the Health and Safety policy.
• Quality Standards – ensure support for the team in meeting product quality and housekeeping standards.
• Trial / Improvements – participate in processes and production trials as required to ensure successful operation and support for the technical department.
• Area / Line Performance – adherence to plan, achieving line speeds and meeting required standards; able to share knowledge with others and support in‑house training.
• Communication – effective communication throughout the department; ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively.
• Administration – carry out necessary administrative tasks and keep systems updated as required.
• Ensuring correct and accurate data recording.

• Work within the ethos and standards of the company
• Work in all areas of the factory
• Complete training and all functions of GO1 Grade 1
• Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas
• Keep up to date knowledge of all products
• Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner
• Follow work instructions in all areas
• Complete and pass GO1 training in your designated area
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of fellow employees
• Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date
• Ensure area is prepared for start‑up including correct labels and packaging
• Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
• Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management
