HR Officer – Rotherham – £30,000 - £40,000 DOE – Full or Part Time – Flexible Hours

Chase & Holland are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a growing, family‑run manufacturing business seeking a dedicated HR Officer. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will provide day‑to‑day HR operational support, ensuring compliance, promoting a positive culture, and helping the business continue its impressive growth journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Manage employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, disciplinary meetings, and absence reviews.
  • Support end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
  • Assist with performance reviews, training needs, and employee development planning.
  • Maintain accurate HR systems and records, ensuring data integrity in partnership with the HR Administrator.
  • Collate and prepare monthly payroll information.
  • Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare HR reports and KPI data for the Board of Directors.
  • Support employee wellbeing initiatives including health surveillance and MHFA / first aid training.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and mediator, fostering a supportive and respectful workplace.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety processes with the ability to oversee documentation, inductions, and support incident investigations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and proactive.
  • Experience supporting payroll and HR systems.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards).
  • A “salt of the earth” HR professional with a practical, hands‑on approach and strong values.
