Expectations are clear :- Several years of experience with Unreal Engine as a Technical Artist (good knowledge of UE5 in particular)
- Excellent understanding of the material system and related editors
- VFX Art experience
- Deep knowledge of computer graphics and related disciplines like math and optics
- Understanding of the GPU rendering pipeline
- Experience with shader development
- Wide real-time rendering performance optimization experience
- A good overall knowledge of the digital art content creation processes
- Experience creating tools for technical art and level art in UE
- Technical mindset
- Good artistic eye for color, composition, texture, lighting, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to efficiently read and write technical documentation
- Experience in developing custom tools for DCC tools (Maya, Max, etc.)
- Experience working with Houdini and integrating procedural assets into UE
- Good knowledge of programming languages like Python or C++
- Create stunning visual features and effects in a game being actively developed
- Help improve graphics and performance in various games, both new and classic
- Solve challenging technical issues in the game asset production pipeline
- Provide hands‑on support to artists and engineers regarding asset performance and validation
- Review the creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvement
- Develop 3D art pipeline tools and extensions with an eye toward usability and efficiency
- Inspire and empower the art team to optimize their processes
