As a UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of Maqqie s product. You will leverage advanced design skills, industry knowledge, and a deep understanding of user behaviour to contribute to the development of high-quality, user-centric solutions. You will work closely with engineers and product managers, while regularly sparring with the entire organization to ensure design decisions align with business objectives.

This means that you will be responsible for:

• Advanced Design Leadership: Lead the design of complex features and functionalities, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Demonstrate high-level proficiency in UX design, interaction design, and information architecture.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and product managers to ensure design feasibility and implementation. Regularly engage with the entire organization to gather input and align design decisions with business goals.

• User Research & Testing: Conduct advanced usability testing, interpreting results to make informed design decisions. Iterate and refine designs based on user feedback, data analysis and user testing.

• Design Standards & Guidelines: Maintain design standards and guidelines as the design expert within the organization. Ensure consistency and coherence across the user interface and experience.

• Design Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization, educating stakeholders on best practices and the value of good UX.

• Project Ownership: Take ownership of specific design projects or features from concept to implementation, managing competing priorities effectively while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will be working within the Technology department. Tech exists out of 15 engineers and 1 product manager. You will report to the Head of Engineering.

We think you need the following qualities for the role:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer, with a track record of delivering high-quality user experiences

  • Expert proficiency in Figma and Zeroheight

  • Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and design patterns

  • Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies

  • Ability to create design prototypes and wireframes

• Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies, preferably with B2B SaaS experience

• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions in English (Dutch is a plus). Comfortable presenting to and collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
