Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys has spent over a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming, developing award‑winning titles such as Warhammer 40,000:
Freeblade and Warhammer Age of Sigmar:
Realm War. Now we are exclusively working on a new game unlike anything we have done before and we’re looking for highly talented and motivated individuals passionate about gaming to join us on this ambitious journey.
We are seeking a seasoned Client Programmer to join our dynamic team and help build truly visually stunning and entertaining experiences using the Unity Engine. This role is open to professionals at the Mid, Experienced or Senior level. In this role you will drive technology forward, collaborate with discipline leads to define technical standards, own the planning and development of complex systems, profile and optimise critical code to crush performance bottlenecks, and ensure rock‑solid stability.
Responsibilities- Build and own sophisticated client‑side systems in Unity and C#.
- Own entire features from concept through to flawless execution.
- Rigorously profile and optimise code for performance and stability.
- Continuously explore new C#/.NET and AWS knowledge to stay at the cutting edge.
- Collaborate with discipline leads to define technical standards.
- Proficient in Unity C# and solid understanding of modern coding architecture patterns, standards, and methodologies.
- At least one shipped game across all phases of an Agile development lifecycle.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
