Assistant Store Manager, Royston Area £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Contract:

Permanent | Full-Time

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s most successful and rapidly expanding retail brands for an Assistant Store Manager in the Hertfordshire area.

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking to speak with confident and motivated leaders who bring energy, structure, and commercial awareness to a fast-paced environment. You will ideally have:

* Experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, or Senior Team Leader within retail or hospitality

* A strong results-driven mindset, with a passion for high standards and exceptional customer service

* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly learn procedures and communicate clearly

* Flexibility to travel within a 45-minute radius to support other nearby stores when required

* A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with proven ability to prioritise, delegate, and develop high-performing teams

Key Responsibilities

As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager and be accountable for:

* Coaching, motivating, and developing the store team to consistently achieve outstanding results

* Deputising for the Store Manager when required, ensuring all processes, standards, and compliance measures are upheld

* Delivering exceptional service, effective stock control, and a seamless customer journey through structured task execution

* Driving sales performance by successfully implementing the operational plan

* Leading the team to exceed all KPIs and performance targets

* Managing daily stock ordering to ensure product availability and operational readiness
